In the current world it's stupid to sell glyphs at 20g if you have no competition. Under the current regime, I'd be surprised if demand at 20g for any glyph was even 2-3x the demand at 100g. So the demand at 20g was sometimes 20-30x the demand at 100g. At 10-20g many serious raiders were willing to swap them in and out like flasks or pots, while only the rich, bleeding edge or stupid would even consider that at 100-200g. At 100-200g, most people would buy only if they planned to rarely/never swap it out. OTOH, back in wrath when you had to use up a glyph to swap it out, there was a HUGE difference in the demand for any raiding or pvp relevant glyph at 10-20g versus 100g. Also, a big chunk of the people who won't, won't buy every glyph even if they are 10g ea anyway.

For glyphs that are highly situational or semi-irrelevant, it's different, but there's still a fairly big population of people who will pay 100g+ to have it in their set, even if they rarely use it. So you can easily charge 100g+ for raid valuable or PVP valuable glyphs if nobody is competing lower, and you hardly lose any buyers over charging 20g per. If you really want it, even if you don't have much gold, you can shell out a few hundred gold for it. Today, each glyph is a one per character buy. We experienced that in wrath, and what I remember from back then is that the monopoly profit maximizing price of glyphs was much lower than it is now. Well, if it goes back to a glyph as potential consumable model, it will change the market dramatically.

The "Vanuts Rune" also sounds like something that would be a guaranteed seller-a straight-up damage bonus to a specific raid boss each week would be mandatory for raid progression. That combined with the possibility of glyphs no longer be re-usable would make them a commodity for raiding just like flasks and potions. If there are possible glyphs for every spell, then every spell can be glyphed for something without the current numeric limit. The "one glyph per spell but no limit on total" thing sounds insane. To me, this sounds like glyphs are being simplified with the major/minor distinction gone and possibly returning to how they were previously-needing a new glyph every time the player wants to swap one out. One glyph per spell, but no limit on total glyphs! Vantus Rune - Week long buff that targets a specific boss. Glyphs are a consumable, applied directly to the spell. "Major glyphs are gone! Still have Minor Glyphs and Darkmoon Trinkets. I haven't watched the full video, so I don't fully know the context: The following quote is directly from MMO-Champion regarding the game systems panel.
